Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you divinity rules over all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all

Making Space for Ideas

Exhaling makes rooms for the arrival of fresh prana, the life-force that flows in with your in-breath. Focus on the exhalation part of each breath when you need to make more space for free-flowing creative thought.

Self Care Through The Lens of Ayurveda: Self Care For Skin (Air)

Abhyanga is an oil massage that we can give to ourselves with the oils for our dosha or with oils that balance what needs balancing at the time.  It's nourishing for our skin, our joints, and our mind.  It's said that oil massage almost immediately takes us to a place of feeling loved and taken care of.  In Sanskrit, "sneha" is the term used for "oil" and it is one of the Sanskrit words for "love"

I like to put a few drops of lavender + frankincense oil into my Abhyanga oil for added satisfaction, peace, relaxation, and even feelings of overall wellness to my morning routine

The Ayurvedic route to great health involves two simple steps:
1. Doing less;
2. Being more.

GOD MEETS YOU IN THE STILLNESS OF THE SOUL

Meditation or prayer brings a point of connection with the universe—the divine stillness. This is something that you can access at this moment.

In that moment of stillness, beauty pours into our awareness. Physical sensations calm, and emotions become joyful as thoughts cease.

The illusions end temporarily along with the sensation of cascading from one task to another, and suddenly light fills our countenance, altering and smoothing our vibrations and moods.

The stillness refers to an illuminated state, the search for light and a response from the universe. With practice, the energetic exchange can come on a daily basis—giving insight and inspiration to our daily lives.

Day 3 - Sadhana - MANIPURA CHAKRA

In the stillness, the heart speaks with soft voice. It provides gentle guidance, which often feels like positive preferences or inclinations to move through life more softly (a slower pace.)

From this point, emotions and thoughts become quiet. Intuition grows like the soft light of dawn, illuminating the passage of our spiritual quest.

Inhale, and God approaches you.

Entering The “Sacred Space of the Heart”

The logical mind keeps people in their head/skull, which hides the power of the heart. Know the mobility of spirit within the human body: the spirit can leave the head/mind to enter an altered state of consciousness, an intelligence found in the heart. Meditation helps overcome and bypass the mind, including vipassana meditation until still-point is achieved. The body is like a coat for spirit, and spirit, at this point in history, is usually focused on the pineal gland in the center of the head, looking at the world through the eyes and feeling like the outer world is separate from oneself. Think of this like a game. Have fun!  Move out of the head, into the throat chakra, then towards heart chakra. Practice moving your spirit to different parts of the body, and stop back at the throat to orient yourself before re-entering the head.

As you drop your consciousness down from your third eye to your throat to your heart, hear and feel the heart beating. Feel the softness of the tissue, and how different this is from the hardness of the skull around your head. The heart is female and the head is male. For five minutes, be in the heart and move back up. While in your head, use the mantra Om, and while in the heart, chant Aah or Lam. And see how the sound resonates. Feel it. In the heart, return to the primal state of oneness.

Let your psychic nature take over and let your intuition lead you to the sacred space. Let go and move, knowing you are in Truth and going to move straight into this holy place. In the Vedanta, it’s called the “Sacred Space of the Heart” — it is the Source of Creation. While here, you may realize your purpose for coming to Earth, the reason for being here. Meditate in your heart for 30 minutes.

I think that to control the mind is as difficult as trying to control the wind.
— Bhagavad Gita, Arjuna talking to Krishna
As we embrace our passions and delve into the mystery of life, we unite with the majestic complexity of nature; and if we follow the signs, this can help us understand who we really are.

Nadi Shodhana

TODAY TAKE ONE MINUTE MORE

Continue with this breath. This is a breath that awakens us.

Take time to work on this powerful breath for 5 minutes. When complete, sit quietly and notice your sensations. See what comes up for you. What emotion? What is your heart saying? Write it down.

The instructions for this can be found on Day 13 HERE.
